UC San Diego Makes Big Mistake
UC San Diego made a humongous mistake and sent an acceptance email to all of the students who applied to the University for Fall. They only accepted 17,000 and the email went to everyone that applied.
This is seriously not something you would want to happen to you when you are applying for schools and waiting for acceptance letters to arrive. To have an email sent that congratulates you on being accepted to the University and then later on saying it was a mistake is a lot to take on. It is already a roller coaster ride that is not very pleasant without false alarms.

wow thats a big dissapointment for a student. the school should let them come if they choose.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with the previous poster. UCSD is a prestigious university and has to maintain its high standards and status by accepting only students with top scores. Of course, this mistake has stained their name.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of reminds me of incidents at the hospital where someone will the Doc will tell the patient, "Congrats! You DON'T have cancer!" And then the Doc calls later and says, "There's been a mistake...You actually DO have cancer. Sorry about that."
